Product Description:
What Fexofenadine is used for:
- Fexofenadine is used for the relief of allergy symptoms such as
sneezing, runny nose, itchy, watery, red eyes and itchy nose and throat.
- It is also be used to treat hives.
Do not take Fexofenadine:
- If you’re allergic to the active substances or any other component of this medicine.
Warnings and precautions:
Talk to your doctor about all your medical conditions before taking this medicine including:
- If you have phenylketonuria.
- If you have kidney problems.
- Are 65 years of age or older.
- This medicine may cause sleepiness or dizziness. Do not drive or operate machinery till you know how you are affected.
Possible side effects:
- Stop using this product and seek immediate medical help if you
develop rash; hives; blisters; itching; wheezing; tightness in the chest
or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; or swelling of
the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.
Common side effects:
- Headache
- Nausea
- Drowsiness
- Fatigue
Other medications and Fexofenadine:
- Tell your doctor about all the medicines you are taking.
- Antacids that contain aluminum or magnesium hydroxide may alter the effectiveness of Fexofenadine. Separate by 2 hours.
How to take Fexofenadine:
- Take as indicated by your doctor.
- Do not take with fruit juice.
- The usual recommended dose is one 60 mg tablet every 12 hours or one 120 mg tablet once daily.
How to store Fexofenadine:
- Store at room temperature 68 to 77°F (20 to 25°C).
- Keep this medicine out of reach of children.
- Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the package.
- The expiry date refers to the last day of that month.
