Mechanism Of Action Of Aescin, Diethylamine Salicylate Gel

• Aescin is a capillary-stabilizing agent, It works by acting on the vascular wall by decreasing the extravasation of fluid into the tissue And speeding up the subsidence of edema (swelling due to fluids). It also decreases inflammation and improves circulation.
• Diethylamine salicylate is an analgesic (pain killer) and an anti-inflammatory agent.

Therapeutic Indications Of Repaderm Gel

• This product is used for the relief of pain and inflammation and for the treatment of localized swelling and congestion, due to crush injuries, sprains, contusions, hematomas (blood build-up), bruises, tenosynovitis (inflammation of the fluid-filled sheath Surrounding a tendon), varicose veins, thrombophlebitis (inflammation that causes a blood clot to form and block one or more veins), Disc lesions, neck pain and other vertebral column related types of pain

Method Of Administration Of Repaderm Gel

• Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
• Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
• Spread a thin layer of the product on the affected area of your skin once a day or many times during the day.
• Doses may be changed in special conditions so always follow your doctor\'s or pharmacist\'s instructions.
• If you take more than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital straight away.
• If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember it unless it is nearly time for your next dose.
• Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for the forgotten dose.

Undesirable Side Effects Of Repaderm Gel

• Serious side effects are not expected with this medication.
• Although the following side effects are not common in everyone, some patients may complain from:
• allergic skin reactions (itching, swelling and redness).
• skin redness, skin peeling and urticaria.
• angioneurotic edema (unpredictable frequent episodes of edema in tissues like eyes, lips, oral cavity, bowel, throat).

• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.

Warnings & Special Precautions while Taking Repaderm Gel

• Talk to your doctor if your symptoms are getting worse or are not improving.
• This medication is designed for external topical use only
• Stop the medication right away and talk to your doctor or pharmacist if you develop allergic reactions such as shortness of breath, skin rash, swelling of the face or neck.
• Do not apply this gel on opened skin areas as eczema (atopic dermatitis) or ulcers (sores),
• or skin areas that have been exposed to irradiation to prevent burning sensation from happening.

• Store in the original package to protect from moisture.
• Do not use this medicine after the expiry date which is stated on the box/blisters/label. The expiry date refers to the last day of the month.
