Product Description:
What Bromhexine is used for
Treatment of bronchopulmonary diseases or conditions associated with abnormal mucous secretion and clearance.
Do not use Bromhexine
If you are allergic to the active substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
Warnings and precautions
Anaphylaxis: Anaphylactic reactions have been reported with use of ambroxol, a metabolite of bromhexine
Increased secretions: Increased mucus secretions may occur
Severe skin reactions: Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS), toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN), and acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis have been associated with use of bromhexine. While rare, early manifestations of SJS/TEN may include nonspecific flu-like symptoms (eg, fever, aching, rhinitis, cough, sore throat) which are often treated with regimens including mucolytics, a causal association is difficult to discern; development of new skin/mucosal lesions should prompt discontinuation of bromhexine and immediate evaluation
