What is Docusate and what is used for:
- Docusate is a medicine that is used to help remove wax build up in
the ear by clearing up your ear canal if it is obstructed with wax by
making it softer and degrading it.
Do not take Docusate :
- If you are allergic toDocusate, or any of the ingredients inthis medicine.
- Tell your doctor about the allergy and what signs you had.
- If you have a perforated ear drum.
- If you have an ear infection.
- If you have ear pain.
- If your ear feels sore inside.
Warnings and precautions:
- Stop the medication right away and talk to your doctor or pharmacist
if you develop allergic reactions such as shortness of breath, skin
rash, swelling of the face or neck, decreased blood pressure and
dizziness.
- Stop using this ear drop if you develop an ear inflammation.
Possible side effects:
- Possible but rare side effects include kin rash, injuries or
swelling of the ear canal may cause painful symptoms and stinging or
soreness (temporary).
Other medicines and Docusate:
- Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently
taken or might take any other medications including prescription
medicines, over the counter medicines, herbals, vitamins and
supplements.
How to take Docusate:
- Apply 5 – 10 drops into the ear for 15 minutes twice a day for 4 days.
- Tilt your head to one side, then gently drip the ear drop into your blocked ear until becomes full.
How to store Docusate:
- Keep out of the reach of children and pets
- Store Docusate at or below 25°
- Do not use beyond the expiry date mentioned on the box
- Keep medication in its original container (tightly closed) to protect it from moisture and light
Do not dispose medication in the wastewater or household waste
